The Sydney Kings have signed former Boomer Aleks Maric for the 2016-17 NBL season.
The 211cm centre, who played at the 2012 London Olympics for Australia, adds to a growing roster at last season's wooden spooners.
Under new coach Andrew Gaze, the Kings have already recruited league MVP Kevin Lisch and former Boomer Brad Newley.
Sydney born, Maric returns to Australia after spending his entire eight-season career playing in Europe.
"Australian fans have seen him play primarily for his country, but we are excited that a Sydney guy is coming back home after such a successful run in Europe," Kings managing director Jeff Van Groningen said.
Maric also brings with him the experience of winning a Euroleague, Eurocup Championship and a Greek Cup from his time in the northern hemisphere.
Of Serbian Heritage, Maric went undrafted in the NBA in 2008 before signing with Spanish club Granada and progressing into the European leagues.
