Australia's Alanna Smith and her Stanford University teammates have pulled off a thrilling comeback victory to stay alive in the NCAA Tournament.

Stanford, the No.4 seed, appeared headed for an upset loss on Monday after trailing 12th seeded South Dakota State by six points with three minutes to go, but they pulled off a 66-65 win to set up a third-round clash with top-ranked Notre Dame.
